Combines both the principles and exercise/positions of Yoga and Pilates. Yoga is basically designed to increase flexibility and improve overall strength through a series of stretching and holding positions. Pilates involves full body resistance exercises and focuses on strengthening the core muscles. Exercises are performed with calming music and students will learn the proper body alignment, breathing methods, and also establish a mantra. The series will alternate exercises and positions using both Yoga and Pilates. Students will also learn the process of meditation during the cool down. Wear comfortable clothing with a comfortable cotton shirt and yoga or cargo pants that are below the knee.
